What Are Veneers?

Ceramic veneers, dental restorations, tooth crowns veneers, or porcelain laminates, are customized thin 'shells', designed to fit exactly over the front of an existing tooth. They are permanently held in place with a special kind of adhesive resin.

The end result of ceramic veneers treatment is extremely strong and durable. Though veneers are not suitable for all patients, they are alternative cosmetic treatment for a number of dental disorders affecting the front teeth.

The affected tooth is trimmed away by the dentist to make adequate space for the porcelain laminates

The next stage is to make a rubber impression so that the dental technician can pour a plaster model of the teeth.

Finally veneers bonded are placed by the dentist.
