It has been Jehangir Hospital’s mission to deliver our proactive preventive dental care philosophy to you, our patients, by focusing on promoting your long term oral health. From our very beginning, we have pioneered the practice of evidence-based dentistry – focusing on prevention to stop the disease-repair cycle. We pursue this mission everyday by demonstrating our core values: innovation, health, compassion, and integrity, all with the sensitivity for patient care that we have stood for through 70 years.

This groundbreaking change improves your patient experience by completing as much work as is clinically appropriate in one visit, reducing costs, and reducing your time away from work.

After acquiring my Bachelor’s Dental Degree from Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College and Hospital in Pune in 2005, I was unassertive of how to establish my dental practice in a new city which was my education destination. The only thing clear to me at the time was that I had to make it on my own, foot-in a brand that was built on a hand up and not a hand out.
Out of this valued principle, my wife, Dr. Neera Shah and me, started Oracare Dental Centre together in Pune in 2005.
Our foundation was with a modest setup of a single chair dental clinic and a drive to change the world, one smile at a time. Our journey of 7 long years of hard work with its fair share of ups and downs could only be traveled with one single aim, to deliver complete Patient Satisfaction, so that our patients would never need to look for another dentist again. I always understood that as a patient when a person steps into a dental clinic, the fear quotient is high because dental work is
considered painful and expensive and I wanted to change that notion for all my patients.
The biggest challenge faced by patients in today’s world is to get treatment from an institution with doctors who consider their work as a profession of service to society and can be relied on with complete faith.
As the Co-founder and Managing Director of Jehangir Oracare Dental Centre, I would like to use this opportunity to personally share our journey and provide a vivid insight into who we are and what we offer, which will help provide a feeling of comfort in getting treatments with us. As we progressed towards our service to society, we found our likeminded partner in service within the prestigious Jehangir Hospital and Our brand Oracare Dental Centre collaborated with them in 2012.
With a common vision to be the best provider of dental services in India, Middle East and Africa without compromising on QUALITY and a common ideology of “Patient First”. Thus began the journey of Jehangir Oracare Dental Centre.
We made it our mission to build relationships with all our patients, based on honesty, trust and ethics and to provide customised and specialised treatment plans that meet an individual’s needs and execute all treatments with modern equipment and latest technology available, keeping in mind to make quality dental care affordable to all our patients.
While pursuing our vision and mission we felt the need to open more centres across the city for our services to be easily accessible to a wider population. This need gave us an opportunity to establish our centres in Baner, Viman Nagar, Kothrud and Undri.
We are now operating at five locations in Pune and have a vision to run 32 dental clinics across India and move to serve a global audience in different parts of the world.
It has been a boost to experience the fruits of everyone’s hard work in our ever growing happy patient base, achievements and accolades that started coming our way which helped me see that we have now started to make a difference in the society.
Jehangir Oracare has been awarded the National Healthcare Achievers award in 2015, Best Clinic Award by Times Health Survey in 2016and 2017, followed by the Times Health Icon award in 2017 and 2018. These Awards continue to motivate us and drive us forward.

In my mind, there is nothing more vital than our culture and I feel it is my responsibility to set the tone for our culture.
