Our dentists provide technologically advanced gum treatments.
With the incorporation of effective techniques for gum treatment our dentists stop or slow down
the development of periodontal disease.
Gum disease is a bacterial growth around the teeth which causes swelling, soreness or infection
in tissues supporting the teeth. They are divided into two categories:
The root cause of gum disease is plaque. Plaque is a film of bacteria that gets formed
on the surface of the teeth and gums every day, without you realising.
Most of the bacteria in the plaque are harmless. But there are some that cause gum disease.
When plaque accumulates in excess, it can harden into a substance called tartar (calculus).
This can take less than 24 hours. Tartar is so hard and firmly bound around teeth, that only
a professional dentist can remove it during cleaning process.
The symptoms of gum diseases include:
Redness in gums.
Gums that bleed easily.
Loosening of teeth.
Frequent bad breath.
Change in the way your teeth are placed.
Change in fitting of partial and dentures.
Be sure to brush your teeth twice daily, floss regularly, rinse your mouth often and replace your brush every three to four months.
